# String

## Convert to Upper Case

Converts all letters to the capital letters.

### Definition

```
upper(str)
```

### Example

All the following expressions result in `true`:

```
upper("AbCdefG") == "ABCDEFG"

upper("7b&*#č汉字") == "7B&*#Č汉字"
```

## Convert to Lower Case

Converts all letters to small letters.

### Definition

```
lower(str)
```

### Example

All the following expressions result in `true`:

```
lower("AbCdefG") == "abcdefg"

lower("7B&*#Č汉字") == "7b&*#č汉字"
```

## Split String

Splits a string into sub-strings using a separator.

### Definition

```
split(str, separator)
```

| Argument  | Type   | Meaning            |
| --------- | ------ | ------------------ |
| str       | string | String to be split |
| separator | string | Separator          |

### Example

All the following expressions result in `true`:

```
split("abc,def,ghi", ",") == ["abc", "def", "ghi"]
```
